The NorthShore Inline Marathon weekend is full of fun skating-related activities. Adopt the motto “Come Early and Stay Late!” Our club has the following standing dates during the marathon weekend:

Thursday, 7:00 p.m.
Meet at Old Chicago for a club social. Out of town members that may already be in town are encouraged to attend, as well as “locals”. Spread the word. This is open to anyone, members and non-members alike. Leave your skates behind; this is NOT a skating function.

Friday, noon to 10:00 p.m.
Expo – we will have a booth at the expo. Stop by, say hi, and perhaps pay your 2006 membership dues. Don’t forget, if you pay your 2006 dues on Friday you are eligible for a $100 Play It Again Sports gift certificate prize drawing on Friday evening.  We are looking for volunteers for this event. 

Friday, 4:00 p.m.
Registration starts for Kids races. Club volunteers needed. Please, report to Jay Seiler, who is running this for the Northshore Inline Marathon. Racing starts at 5:00 p.m.  This event is sponsored by the Northshore Inline marathon.  Our club has always had a number of volunteers for this event.  So call your friends and help out and have some fun.

Saturday, 11:00 a.m.
Meet outside Pioneer Hall for a club group photo. Please be prompt. This will be the 2005 photo on our web site home page.

Saturday, 11:20 a.m.
We are working on this, and plan to keep you posted.  Tentatively the plan is for $100 door prize drawings for any members paid for 2004 and/or 2005. From the 2004 pool we will draw for a Ski Hut $100 gift certificate. From the 2005 pool we will draw for a Play It Again Sports $100 gift certificate.

Saturday, 5:00 p.m.
Awards ceremony at the DECC. We will try to sit together in a large group. We will probably be left of center (as you are looking at the stage) near the front. Come early (4:30 or sooner) and help save seats.

Sunday, 9:00 a.m. Or possibly 10:00 a.m.
This is now just a really big Joe's Jelly Roll.  Meet at Blue note cafe.  Check the booth for the time.  Probably 9:00 or 10:00.  We are hoping to anounce the NIS Cup winner and award the prizes for this year.
